The Central Library, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University plays a vital role in the collection development and dissemination of academic, scientific and technical information to meet the present and future needs of the University.

Central Library, KKHSOU is located at the City Campus, Khanapara, Guwahati. The library is in the 2rd Floor of the B Block.

The library is well-stocked with nearly 18000 print books on various disciplines. Apart from the print resources, a good number of electronic resources comprising e-journals, online databases, gateway portal to e-journals are all made accessible to the patrons within the University campus. The library is fully computerized with an ILS (Integrated Library System) and also equipped with RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification) technology.

    The ultimate goal of the Online Library Catalogue is to enable the library patrons to browse library collection online beyond the physical boundary. In one word, it is the gateway to the Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) Library's collection.

    Shodhganga repository is the reservoir of Indian intellectual output stored, hosted and maintained by the INFLIBNET Centre, an IUC of UGC. Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University (KKHSOU) has joined Shodhganga for depositing the theses.

  • KKHSOU in NDLI

    The National Digital library of India is a project under MHRD, India. The objective is to integrate several national and international digital libraries in one single web-portal. KKHSOU has signed Content Partner Agreement with NDLI to share its Digital Resources.

Announcements

  • The Library remains open on all working days from 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. Closed on all Sundays, 2nd and 4th Saturdays of each month and all state government holidays. (Any changes will be notified in the Notice Board, also in the site.)
