The school of Vocational Studies is named after the great inventor and entrepreneur, Guru Prasad Das as a tribute to his inventions and contributions to society. He is widely considered an Icon with regard to skill based training. Guru Prasad Das was born in the year 1905 at Bilartarihati of Barpeta, Assam. Apart from various inventions, he is most popularly known for the invention of brakes for Train, known as GP brakes. All skill based Certificate, Diploma and other training programme are offered under this school.
