Field Visit to Bhutan

The Research Team of Banikanta Kakati Research Institute, Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University kick started the Area Studies programme with its first visit to Bhutan (in the year 2018) under the ongoing minor Research Project on Bhutan. The team interacted with the Indian Ambassador to Bhutan Shri Jaideep Sarkar and other key officials of Indian Embassy. The Team also met several officials of the Royal Monetary Fund of Bhutan, other government and private bank officials. As part of the Research endeavor, the team went to the Royal University of Bhutan, and had an interesting discussion with the Head of the Institute for National Gross Happiness Studies.
